Ms Kate Lowry

Chief Operating Officer

Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), a HDR Master of Arts (Philosophy) and a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from Monash University. She is also working towards her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at ANU allowing her to practise law in Australia.

Kate has a strong interest in government regulation, administration law and policy; research commercialisation; and energy and climate change law. Kate has extensive experience in the administration of major publicly funded research projects. Before coming to ACEx, Kate was the Chief Operating Officer at ACEMS, the ARC Centre of Excellence for Mathematical and Statistical Frontiers. Prior to that she managed an ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hub at Monash University, and has worked in Commonwealth/ARC grants and contract administration at Monash University since 2014. 

Before working in research administration, Kate taught applied ethics and Human Rights at Monash University in the School of Philosophical, Historical and International Studies.
