Othman's research focuses on studying the structure-property relationships in photoactive perovskite thin-films. In doing so, he aims to understand the degradation mechanisms of perovskite materials and devise stabilization strategies that do not impair their performance. In collaboration with CSIRO, he is working on the development of stable charge transport layers for roll-to-roll flexible perovskite solar cells. Furthermore, he is targeting the optimization of the R2R printing procedures of all the perovskite solar cells functional layers by fabricating large area devices that are crucial for pushing the efficiency limits and practical deployment of these solar cells.
