Mr Minh Triet Nguyen | ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science

Triet is a postgraduate student at the University of New South Wales, Australia and currently working as a PhD student with Professor Dane McCamey.

His research aims to integrate active organic materials, which support multiexciton processes, into Germanium/Silicon solar cell device architectures to improve photovoltaic efficiency, which approach the limit set out by Shockley-Queisser theory. The materials used in research project can perform both singlet fission and triplet-triplet annihilation upconversion. However, these materials require the incorporation into device structures.

Triet hopes to develop the techniques, which allow these materials to be incorporated into devices, to maintain long operational lifetimes.
