Dr Thomas MacDonald

Research Fellow

Tom completed his PhD in Chemistry at UNSW, focusing on the use of supramolecular chemistry to influence molecular diffusion in solution. A secondary aim of this work was the incorporation of switchable emission into photoresponsive molecules to create an all-optical molecular device capable of logic operations and information amplification.

As a postdoctoral research associate with Professor Dane McCamey, Tom is now working to design molecular devices demonstrating excitonic logic.
