Dr Jessica Alves

Postdoctoral Fellow

Jessica Alves is a postdoctoral fellow in the group of Prof. Timothy Schmidt at University of New Wales (UNSW). She received her PhD from the Queensland University of Technology in 2021 working in the research group of Prof. Christopher Barner-Kowollik and A/Prof. James P. Blinco. Dr. Alves has a strong background in the photochemistry of organic molecules, mainly focused in photoswitches. Her current interests lie within implementing photon upconversion to increase the efficiency of solar cells.
