Ms Alexandra Stuart

Postdoctoral research associate, Research Fellow

Alex is a research fellow in optical spectroscopy with the MP2 group at the University of Sydney. She studied her PhD at the University of Adelaide under the joint supervision of A/Prof. Tak Kee and A/Prof. David Huang, focusing on using ultrafast spectroscopy to improve the understanding of singlet fission and competing processes for the enhancement of solar cells.

Alex's current research uses spectroscopy to investigate the photophysics of a variety of systems, including thermally activated delayed fluorescence materials, and polariton physics in optical cavities. Her general research interests lie in using time-resolved spectroscopic techniques to reveal the behaviour of excitons in organic semiconductor materials, with the aim to inform the development of organic electronics.
