Research Fellow in Ultrafast Micro-Spectroscopy

Associate Professor Trevor Smith is seeking candidates for a post doctoral position at the University of Melbourne, requiring a PhD degree or equivalent in condensed phase physics, physical chemistry or materials chemistry, and with knowledge of the use of ultrafast laser systems and/or optical microscopy instruments.The successful candidate will be responsible for the ultrafast microspectroscopy measurements of excitonic materials. Key tasks will include: the development of time-resolved microscopy techniques (in particular transient absorption microscopy) for studying materials that contribute to the milestones of the research themes within the Centre.
