National Science Quiz

The ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science was proud to be a sponsor of the National Science Quiz in Melbourne on Sunday 18 June 2017. The quiz featured live demonstrations and curiosity-provoking questions in 90 minutes of science, maths and laughs.

Hosted by comedian Charlie Pickering, panellists included:

• Dr Alice Williamson: Chemistry lecturer, host of Up and Atom on FBi Radio, Sydney, and co-host of the ABC podcast Dear Science
• Assoc. Prof Alan Duffy: Astronomer and star of ABC ME's Stargazing: Journey in to Space with Dr Duffy and Grace
• Dr Andi Horvath: Science communicator and Podcast producer at the University of Melbourne
• Prof Michael Fuhrer: Physicist, Director of FLEET and the Fuhrer Research Lab at Monash University
• Tom Gleeson: Comedian, host of ABC's Hard Quiz, and core cast member of ABC TV’s The Weekly
