Inspiring the next generation of science students

Exciton Science’s Dr Wenping Yin has been featured in an article produced by Futurum, a magazine and online platform aimed at inspiring young people to follow a career in the sciences, research and technology.

In the article, Wenping, a postdoctoral researcher based at Monash University, discusses her motivation for pursuing a research career and explains the potential applications and benefits of her work, which aims to create photoluminescent chemical sensors to detect toxic substances.

Wenping has worked closely with Centre Director Paul Mulvaney and his fellow Chief Investigators Jacek Jasieniak and Wallace Wong, as well as Exciton Science's industry partners CSIRO and Defence Science and Technology Group (DST) to progress work on excitonic sensors.
