Exciton Science 2019 annual report
After another calendar year of growth, development and impressive research impact, the ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science is proud to present its 2019 annual report.
The vision of Exciton Science is to deliver innovative solutions to address the global energy problem and position Australian industry at the forefront of solar energy enabling technologies.
This annual report details the Centre’s progress in leveraging its expertise in advanced materials and manufacturing, excitonic processes and devices, and its focus in three key research themes that are driving this transition.
These themes are: Excitonic Systems for Solar Energy Conversion, Control of Excitons, and Excitonic Systems for Security, Lighting and Sensing.
The report includes updates from the Chair of the Centre’s Advisory Board, The University of Melbourne Provost Professor Mark Considine, and the Director of the Centre, Professor Paul Mulvaney.
The establishment of important new committees, including the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and the progress of others, such as the Executive Committee, is documented.
