The Exciton Science Summer Seminar will take place at UNSW Sydney on Thursday 8 February and Friday 9 February 2024.
As we prepare to wind down operations in mid-2024, this two-day seminar stands out as an important platform for building legacy networks and exploring new opportunities for our researchers. It will be a blend of reflective sessions, collaborative discussions, and future-oriented networking.
This event is not just a farewell but a celebration of our achievements.
Highlights include:
- Alumni Careers Panel: This session features esteemed speakers from government, startups, and consulting, all of whom are recent Exciton alumni. They will share insights into their career trajectories post-Exciton Science, offering valuable perspectives to current members.
- Careers Workshop for ECRs/staff: A dedicated workshop for strategies and guidance for career advancement within and beyond academic spheres.
- Interactive Workshop on AI Tools in Research: This hands-on session delves into the practical application of AI tools in research. It will cover strategies for effectively utilising AI and avoiding common pitfalls, enhancing research outcomes.
- Invited Speakers from Industry and Academia: A series of talks by distinguished guests from both the industrial and academic sectors, offering a wide array of insights and fostering collaborative opportunities.
